Did I really just find my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe of all time? Yes. Yes, I did! Very crispy all around, with a small chewy center — it is truly the G.O.A.T. 🍪! The key to understanding why I tried this recipe in the first place is the note at the bottom of the recipe above. By the “Famous One,” the recipe author is referring to Famous Amos cookies. However, not the current incarnation made in a Keebler factory and that you get in a little plastic bag on airline flights. Famous Amos was started by Wally Amos in Hawai'i back in the 1970s and was a huge hit.
